Behavioral Therapy: Behavioral therapy is the type of psychotherapy which works on control of unwanted behavior. Therapist teaches patient about changing and gaining control on their behavior. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy: Cognitive therapy and behavioral therapy both work together to improve the patient's depression. It develops the thinking of the patient and teaches them the correct way to control their unwanted behavior. Dialectical Behavior Therapy: Dialectical behavior therapy's main goal is to teach a patient to cope up with their stress, control their emotions and improvise their relationships. It is a type of cognitive behavioral therapy. Psychodynamic Therapy: The main motive of psychodynamic therapy is to share the unresolved or conflicts experiences of the patients which were their reason for depression. Interpersonal Therapy: Interpersonal therapy focuses on the social and interpersonal interactions. Therapist picks one or two problems of patient's life such as disputes, break ups etc. Reality Therapy: The basic idea of reality therapy is that patient is living and making choice regardless of what he had done in past. Therapist creates a trusting environment and helps the patient to understand their real wants, their present and help them to plan future in a positive way. Transpersonal Therapy: Transpersonal therapy based on the belief of inner sacredness of people, desire to connect with others. Therapist teaches to believe in each one's will and capacity and make them realize their self. Humanistic Therapy: Main goal of humanistic therapy is to emphasize the growth and self-actualization through self-examination and creative expression. It is totally about "you" and "your perception" only. Apart from these psychological therapy one more therapy is there that it Acupuncture. It is a safe and natural way of treatment of depression. Its process involves small acupuncture needles with small electric current. These different types of depression therapy format helps patient to cope up with various situations and environment. If the patient is shy he can opt for individual therapy and group therapy is cheaper than individual therapy.
